Chief Medical Officer
Location: Cikarang

 

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 4 Medical Advisors, providing guidance and support to ensure professional growth and the successful completion of clinical and medical affairs projects.
  • Medical Affairs Strategy: Develop and implement medical strategies in alignment with company objectives, focusing on both short-term clinical goals and long-term business impact.
  • KOL Engagement: Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the Indonesian market to build strong partnerships, support clinical research, and enhance market strategies for key products.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with clinical investigators and researchers in Indonesia to support clinical trial development, data analysis, and research initiatives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Indonesia Business Director and global business development teams to align medical affairs strategies with overall business goals. Provide medical insights and expertise in discussions regarding product launches, clinical trials, and market development opportunities in Indonesia.
  • Reporting Structure: Report directly to the Head of Clinical Development Center at Daewoong HQ in South Korea, with a dotted reporting line to the Indonesia Business Director in DBI.

As the Chief Medical Officer in DBI, a key responsibility is close collaboration with the Indonesia Business Director to ensure strong alignment between medical and business goals, which is essential for the successful expansion of Daewoong Pharmaceutical in Indonesia. This dual reporting line highlights the importance of integrating clinical insights with local business strategy, fostering a cohesive approach to achieving growth objectives.

 

 

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD) is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia (global or local), with significant exposure to BPOM/Medical Affairs activities in Indonesia.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and guiding medical teams.
  • Strong understanding of medical affairs roles, including KOL engagement, clinical trials, research collaboration, and strategic medical input in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of global and local regulatory guidelines in clinical development, particularly ICH guidelines and BPOM regulations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including KOLs, regulatory authorities, researchers, and internal business teams.
  • Fluency in English is required; Korean is a plus.
